Akarr was born and raised in the United States, with roots that trace back to Kurdistan, a connection that has profoundly shaped his worldview. As an entrepreneur and activist, he embraces both his Kurdish heritage and commitment as an American.
Over the years, Akarr has successfully built and scaled multiple ventures, including industrial manufacturing and contracting for the Department of Defense. Beyond business, he has been an advocate for Kurdish rights, organizing youth groups and providing opportunities for students attending American universities in Kurdistan.
Akarr's work in fundraising, strategic partnerships, and growth strategy has given him a unique perspective on the long-term sustainability of AKN’s mission as Development Director. He believes that the fight for Kurdish recognition is a human rights issue—one that demands unbiased unity, advocacy, and action.
