Dear Kurdish friends,

This is just to repeat to you what you already know, namely that I
support your non-violent struggle for cultural freedom in Turkey.
Together with other writers and activists, I hope that Leyla and her
colleagues who are still in prison will soon be freed.  The Turkish
government must realize that Kurdish people who are victims of oppression
do have allies in the world.
